Create interactive 3D globes with a visual editor. Add locations, routes and overlays.

== Description ==

Build a globe in the visual configurator, start from one of 24 presets and add markers, icons, text, routes or HTML overlays. Customize maps, colors, rotation, backgrounds and click content.

Manage your saved globes from the Miniature Earth menu. Duplicate, import or export projects, and embed a globe with the Miniature Earth block or a shortcode. Developers can also use the `miniature_earth( ID );` template function.

All configurator settings are included. The optional [Developer Kit](https://miniature.earth/) provides scripting documentation, examples, a Mesh converter and support.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate Miniature Earth.
2. Open **Miniature Earth** in the WordPress admin menu and choose **New globe**.
3. Choose a preset or customize the globe, then select **Save project**.
4. Add the **Miniature Earth** block to a page and choose your globe, or copy its shortcode from the globe list.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How do I use a shortcode? =

Copy the shortcode shown next to your globe, for example `[miniature_earth id="12"]`, into a Shortcode block. Use your own globe's ID.

= Can I move a globe to another site? =

Choose **Export** next to the globe, then use **Import project** on the destination site. Import creates a new globe. Project files contain settings and asset references; image and mesh files are not embedded. Keep custom asset URLs accessible or choose replacement files in the destination site's media library.

= What happens when I deactivate or delete the plugin? =

Deactivation keeps all globes. Deleting the plugin also keeps them by default, so they return after reinstallation. To remove them when deleting the plugin, enable **Delete saved globes when uninstalling** on the plugin page first. Media library files are always kept.

= Can I use custom images and meshes? =

Choose files from the WordPress media library. WordPress upload restrictions apply; SVG files require an upload solution that safely validates SVG content. Custom meshes use Miniature Earth's mesh SVG format.

= Does the plugin contact external services? =

The supplied scripts, fonts and assets are hosted locally. Custom asset URLs and links you configure may load resources from their respective hosts. The Developer Kit link opens miniature.earth when clicked.

= Which languages are included? =

English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. The interface follows your WordPress user language.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.0 =
* Initial WordPress plugin release. The plugin version is independent of the Miniature Earth library version.
